If you’re in the market to be in the market… make the most of your renovations, draw attention to the exterior of your home. You never get a second chance to make the first impression!

Prospective home buyers are looking for energy efficiency and greater comfort for their family. You’re sure to get good resale value by installing Low-E windows.

At Western Built Windows and Doors we provide double and triple glazed glass featuring our energy saving Low ‘E’ and TIR with argon gas. Our wide range of obscure, frosted and custom tinted glass will surely fit your needs.

We can manufacture windows with up to an R value of 10!

Don’t know much about what goes into a window? Here’s some definitions that can help you out.

ARGON GAS

Argon is an inexpensive, clear, and odorless gas. Argon gas benefits your windows by reducing the air circulation between the panes of glass, thus increasing the R-value significantly. To enjoy the full benefits of argon gas, it should be used with Low ‘E’ glass.

LOW “E” GLASS

Low ‘E’ glass offers you low-cost solar control. By blocking the sun’s harmful rays, fading of carpets, draperies, upholstery and artwork is greatly reduced. Low ‘E’ glass is perfect for residential and commercial buildings. By keeping heat out in the summer and heat in during the winter, your air conditioning and heating costs will be reduced significantly. We use Low “E” Sungate 500, Solarban 60 and Solarban 70 XL with Argon and it will build it up to R Value of 10.

OBSCURE GLASS

Obscure glass has delicate decorative features. Lacking transparency this glass is ideal for rooms requiring privacy yet still providing visual elegance to any room.

SUN STOP GLASS

Sun Stop glass enhances the interior of any residential and commercial building. We offer various colored tints and special mirror reflective glass.

FADE PROTECTION

The solar control, low-e coating of Solarban 70XL glass blocks ultraviolet (UV) energy, which is traditionally associated with fading, 90% more effectively than ordinary glass. However, a more complete measure of fading resistance called “damaged-weighted transittance,” shows that Solarban 70XL glass also protects your fabrics, furniture and carpets from fading caused by visible light.
